We all know the best console like NES, Sony playstation 1-4, switch and many more. Mostly we prefer to playing games on console because its easy to use. Just put the game and start play without any issue. But there are some consoles which didn't fulfill the audience requirement. In this article we will show you the flop gaming console till now. 

9. Atari Lynx





Atari Lynx was the first color gaming console in 1989 but still didn't get success. It was one step ahead that time, but still got some major issues. In the same year Nintendo released and became the killer for Atari Lynx. If we compare, Atari was heavy, more expensive, poor battery life and very few gaming titles. On the other hand Nintendo was so compact, good battery life and lots of good gaming titles.


8. Virtual Boy



If you think Sony PlayStation was the first company that launched the VR experience in gaming, then you are wrong. In 1995, Nintendo launched Virtual boy with stereoscopic 3D technology. This sounded cool that time, but when it showcase to actual users, all were disappointed with this device. Its failure because of high price, monochrome displace, unimpressive 3D effect and health concern.Most of the users felt nausea and headache while playing on this device.


7. Phillips CD-I




One of the innovative company PHILLIPS tried in gaming industry and came with the Phillips CD-I console/player in 1990. It was innovative idea that gives both gaming as well player experience. But result was too far from reality. Gaming were actually interactive videos and very boring as compared to other gaming consoles. Also the video quality of CD is not good as compared to VHS.


6. Atari Jaguar



Starting of 90's, Nintendo and Sega was the top name in gaming industry. Both were doing awesome and recently shifted from 8bit to 16 bit. All consumer were amused with 16 bit games and they thought more bits means more good experience. In 1993, Atari came with its 64 bit gaming console - Atari Jaguar. Atari promoted his console by telling people about the 64 bit which was more powerful than existing 16 bit. But when it launched, reality was different. Even it was 64bit, but the quality of games worst than 16 bit.Yes Atari designed the advanced machine but game was still old and unimpressive.

5. 3do



Panasonic worked with the founder of EA sports to developed the next gen gaming console. It was the first gaming console with CD that provide 3D content and more space for developer to achieve the better graphics output with amazing sound quality. It also failed because of high price of $700 that time and again no third party games. There are only few good games in the library.

4. Apple Pippin



In 1996 2 years after the PlayStation, Apple tied up with Bandai and launched his Gaming console - PIPPIN. It was the gaming console as well the whole computer system with internet and attachments. Apple provided many add-on with this gaming system to made the experience more better. But again it was too expensive, add-ons was costly and gaming quality was not matching the PlayStation game.


3. Nintendo Wii U



Nintendo Wii U was actually a good game that time, but it failed because of people expectation and poor marketing. Nintendo claimed that Wii U would be the next gen gaming console, but when it launched , consumer got disappointed with that model. Where in Wii you can play the gaming by moving controller, Wii U doesn't have that feature. Its very huge tablet with controller, low battery backup and you cant connect with the TV controller. Consumer's expectation was related to Wii where you can play by moving hands.

2. Gizmondo



Gizmondo is the worst selling handheld console in history. The company promised lots of features and failed to serve. Its price was almost double than Nintendo 3ds and it released with only 8 titles where 6 titles launched only in Europe. It was the worst console ever made.

1. Ouya



This console comes under the worst gaming console in the history. It is an android based gaming console which runs on TV. In 2013, it was the cool idea to play the android games on TV, but it delivered in wrong way. It was not expensive but the quality of controller, lag between the button press and action and controller stop works after few weeks of use. This made this console a horrific one,
